From local guides to Sri Lanka's premier safari tour operator
Yala Safari Jeep Tour was founded in 2010 by passionate wildlife enthusiasts and experienced safari guides from Tissamaharama. What started as a small family business with just two jeeps has grown into one of Sri Lanka's most respected safari tour operators.
Our founders grew up in the villages surrounding Yala, learning about the region's wildlife from childhood. This deep connection to the land and its creatures inspired them to share these experiences with travelers from around the world.
Today, with over 15 years of experience, we operate a fleet of 12 well-maintained jeeps and employ 20+ expert guides, all locals who possess intimate knowledge of wildlife behavior and park geography.
